These days, airports are catering to families, making it easier than ever to travel with the little ones in tow. The following are a few of the most kid-friendly:

Dallas/ Fort Worth International Airport:

Terminals B, C and D all have padded play areas.

Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport:

The new McNamara Terminal has seven play areas, spread throughout Concourses A and B.

Milwaukee General Mitchell International Airport:

Near Concourse C is The Mitchell Gallery of Flight Museum, which houses a collection of model airplanes.

Boston Logan International Airport:

Terminal C’s Kidport is a play area featuring hands-on exhibits designed by the Boston Children’s Museum.

San Francisco International Airport:

Take the kids to the San Francisco Airport Commission Aviation Library and Louis A. Turpen Aviation Museum or the SFO Kids’ Spot in Terminal 3.

PHILLY FEASTS

Continuing Philly’s culinary ascent, a number of hot new eateries are opening up around town. This month, Chef Michael O’Halloran (owner of the revered Bistro 7) is opening The Waverly in Midtown Village. Dine on dishes that apply French techniques to American ingredients, and sip cocktails at the fireside bar and lounge. Debuting next month, Zahav in Old City will off er authentic Israeli cuisine, courtesy Chef Michael Solomonov, an Israeli native.
