Season’s greetings and thank you for flying AirTran Airways.
It’s hard to believe that 2007 is nearly history, but there’s no arguing with the signs of the season, from the tinsel and lights to the busy social schedules and the familiar strains of holiday music.
At AirTran Airways, we appreciate the opportunity to help you get where you’re going this month. Whether you’re traveling to visit family and friends, finishing the business year with a flourish, or taking in the holiday sights away from home, we’re proud to be able to connect you with the places and people that matter the most.
Speaking of family and friends, if you haven’t finished your holiday shopping, air travel is an ideal gift for parents, college students and those who have everything. Thanks to the support of customers like you and the hard work of our 9,000 friendly, professional Crew Members, 2007 has been another great year for AirTran Airways. This year, we added seven new destinations: Charleston, South Carolina; Daytona Beach; Newburgh, New York; Phoenix; Portland, Maine; St. Louis; and San Diego. We launched a host of new nonstop flights, expanding service to Las Vegas and other cities. And we took delivery of our 50th new Boeing 737-700, further strengthening our young, fuel-efficient fleet of Boeing jets.
We continued to provide winning air travel values and customer-focused service in 2007, offering Business Class seating, XM Satellite Radio and EasyFit overhead bins on every flight. And we never stop looking for new ways to make flying with us easier, recently rolling out a Mobile Web program that lets users of some cell phones and other mobile devices check in and review the status of their AirTran Airways flights without a computer.
Even as the year winds down, we’re growing again with the addition of five new daily roundtrip flights serving New York’s LaGuardia and another daily roundtrip between Atlanta and Washington, DC’s Reagan National. This is welcome news for businesspeople and others who appreciate the convenient locations of both close-in airports.
