Three looks to knock some socks off at this year’s holiday bash
MAKING EYES
Flirt the night away with smoldering, attention-getting eyes. Nothing makes a sultry statement like long, thick lashes. To create big-night-out drama, go for fake fringe. Practice beforehand to get the best results, and make sure you’ve got a few extra minutes to get it right. First, apply glue to the base of your faux lashes, making sure not to overdo it. Next, place the fakes as close to the upper lash line as possible, pressing down lightly and holding for several seconds. After the glue has set, finish by swiping on a thin line of black liner just along the top lash.
ALL THAT SPARKLES
Get a look that’s fit for a snow queen with a touch of glitter or shimmer. When going the glittery route, be sure to use a light touch. The idea is to add a little evening drama—not look like you’re trying out for a ’70s glam band. As a general rule, pick just one feature to play up. For example, add a sparkle-laden gloss to lips, a glittery liquid liner along the top lash line or an opalescent shimmer cream to cheekbones.

Put the holiday spotlight on a gorgeous, kissable pout with a bright, festive lip color or luscious, mega-shiny gloss. First, prep lips by lightly exfoliating with an old, dry toothbrush. Smooth in a moisturizing balm, then line lips with a nude shade that blends into lips—it will keep your color in check without a noticeable outline. Finally, have a little fun with color.
