Miami International Film Festival
Miami, March 2–11

Once a year, South Beach takes the opportunity to enrich the city’s arts with a collection of international films. The festival welcomes films from all over the world, and due to Miami’s cultural and geographical position, there is a special focus on Ibero-American cinema. Savannah Music Festival
Savannah, March 15–April 1

Take in some tunes and welcome in the spring under Savannah’s famous Spanish moss-draped oaks. This 18-day event is loaded with performances at indoor and outdoor music venues. High Museum Atlanta Wine Auction
Atlanta, March 22–24

The High Museum of Art will be hosting their 15th annual Wine Auction this year. This large fund-raising event allows locals and wine lovers from all over the chance to taste the latest offerings from vineyards near and far. The theme for this year’s auction will be “Wine is King: A Highly Royal Benefit,” complete with a schedule that includes a champagne reception and a gala dinner dance. www.atlanta-wineauction.org

Smithsonian Kite Festival
Washington, DC, March 31

This annual event provides an adventure for the whole family. The Smithsonian Kite Festival takes place on the Washington Monument grounds and awards prizes to the winners of a long list of categories. The awards range from funniest or most patriotic kite, to the most aerodynamic and that which displays the most beauty in the air. Philadelphia Flower Show
Philadelphia, March 4–March 11

Explore the Legends of Ireland, the theme of this year’s Philadelphia Flower Show, in the music, dance and gardens that will fill this show. Exotic plants and blooming flowers will provide inspiration for skilled horticulturists and aspiring gardeners. Garden tools and botanical art will also be available in the marketplace. The Pier Antiques Show
New York, March 17-18

Take a trip back in time and explore designs from around the country. This internationally recognized show gives 500 exhibitors the opportunity to display their antique collections. St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Boston, March 18

Celebrate the patron saint of Ireland while Boston turns several shades of green and a parade takes over the streets of the traditionally Irish part of the city, South Boston. Beginning at the Broadway T station, this annual event will provide hours of exceptional family fun.

The Denver March Powwow
Denver, March 23-25
This event allows the traditions to be passed along to the children, while spectators are invited to enjoy a modern take on Native American culture. The Powwow displays customs such as drumming competitions, storytelling workshops and traditional food. The event is topped off with the crowning of a Powwow Princess. www.denvermarchpowwow.org
