Atlantique City Spring Festival

Atlantic City March 25 – 26

The world’s largest indoor antiques and collectibles show celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2006. Held over 10 acres at the Atlantic City Convention Center, the festival features over 1,000 stalls, with sellers hawking everything from classic furniture and Venetian glass to animation art and collectible bric-a-brac. This year’s event will celebrate 100 years of Planter’s Peanuts with a display of vintage items and a visit from the Peanutmobile. www.atlantiquecity.com

 

High Museum Atlanta Wine Auction

Atlanta March 29 – April 1

This year’s annual wine auction—the High Museum’s main fundraising event—takes place in the newly completed Atlantic Station. The event includes three days of activities, culminating in a gala and silent auction. Themed “Toast a New High – Ooh, la, la,” the event celebrates the museum’s 177,000–square-foot expansion and its unique, new partnership with Paris’ Louvre Museum. Special guests from the wine world will include Jean-Michel Cazes, Alexandra Pereyre de Nonancourt and Maximilian Riedel. www.atlanta-wineauction.org

 

Honda Grand Prix of St Petersburg

Atlanta Dogwood Festival

Atlanta April 7 – 9

Celebrate the arrival of spring at the 70th annual Dogwood Festival, featuring three days of art and entertainment at Atlanta’s Piedmont Park. More than 200 artists from across the county come to display and sell paintings, sculptures, pottery and photos amid the blooming dogwood trees. Plus, visitors can experience a wide variety of musical acts—everything from bluegrass and country to jazz and rock—and a selection of delicious foods.
