WELCOME DECEMBER 2005

Hello, and thanks for flying AirTran Airways.

It’s that time of year again—the holidays. Hopefully right now you’re on your way to experience togetherness, friends, family, and fun. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for choosing AirTran Airways for your holiday travel needs. Happy holidays and warm New Year’s wishes from all of us.

We’ve got a lot of news to share with you as we round out the year and look toward 2006. We recently took delivery of our 100th plane, a major milestone in AirTran Airways’ history. In celebration of this event, Atlanta-area North Clayton High School’s marching band helped usher in the 100th plane in a parade that included 100 of AirTran Airways’ most senior Crew Members. After the band pulled the 84,000-pound aircraft more than 40 feet, AirTran Airways and the Boeing Company donated funds to the school for new band uniforms.

As we mentioned last month, the new airtran.com is up and running. And with our improved online check-in feature, your travel experience just got easier. You can now check-in online from 24 hours to 90 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Simply enter in your departure city and either your confirmation number or A+ Rewards number and you’re on your way.

Once again, we’ve expanded our route map. Last month we added service from Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport to New York (LaGuardia) and Boston. On December 6, we began service from Chicago Midway Airport to Boston and Minneapolis/St Paul. We’ve also introduced nonstop service from Detroit to both Atlanta and Orlando, and on February 12, 2006, to Sarasota/Bradenton. This is great news for both business and leisure travelers in these markets, as they will be able to take advantage of our low fares to these great new routes.

We’re also proud to announce the continued installation of complimentary XM Satellite Radio service on our planes. At press time, XM Satellite Radio has been installed on more than 70 planes. Passengers can enjoy more than 100 channels of digital quality, commercial-free music, news and entertainment while on board. Bring your own headset to experience this listening pleasure at no charge or purchase a set onboard.

As we look toward 2006, you can be sure of this—AirTran Airways will continue to look for ways to make your travel experience with us even better.

Thanks for flying with us. We hope to see you again soon.

Cordially,

Joe Leonard Chairman and CEO
