WELCOME NOVEMBER 2005
Hello, and thanks for flying AirTran Airways.
As always, we have plenty of big news to report this month, as well as a very special milestone for AirTran Airways.
In web news, the new airtran.com website is now up and running. The new site is full of customer-friendly features designed to provide more options to travelers and reduce time spent booking or checking in for a flight. And, as always, our new website is still the one place where you’ll always find our lowest fares, without the inconvenient booking fees. To kick off the new site, we gave away 1000 round-trip tickets in one week. If you haven’t been to our new site yet, check it out the next time you’re on line.
And now for a major milestone in AirTran Airways history. In October, we took delivery of our 100th plane. And now that our fleet is 100 planes strong, we can serve you better by adding even more cities to our route map. In addition to adding more planes, we’ve also added more XM Satellite Radio. We’re proud to announce that XM service has now been installed on over half of our planes. Happy listening.
As I mentioned, more planes means more cities. And once again, we’ve recently added destinations to our route map, including new service to Detroit beginning November 8th and Cancun on December 15th. We have also expanded service from Sarasota/Bradenton and now offer nonstop service to seven cities.
In addition to adding more planes and destinations, AirTran Airways is continuing to assist the Gulf Coast region recover from the Hurricane Katrina devastation, and we are happy to announce that we have resumed service to Gulfport/Biloxi, as well as New Orleans.
With the holidays approaching, AirTran Airways would like to take this opportunity to remind you to book your travel in advance. Be sure to allow plenty of time at the airport, because, as you know, the holidays are always a busy time for air travel. And be sure to stay tuned for more big news next month.
Thanks again for flying with us.
We hope to see you again soon.
Cordially,
Joe Leonard
Chairman and CEO
