WELCOME SEPTEMBER 2005

Welcome to AirTran Airways

I’m very excited to share with you a couple of exciting developments as we gear up for Fall after another successful Summer travel season.

The biggest news is the new airtran.com website, redesigned to make your travel experience as simple as possible. The new site features cleaner, easy-to-navigate pages, an improved reservation process, and a streamlined home page with quick links to the most popular site areas.

Thanks to the improved site, customers can now do the following:

– See all available fares for any route on one screen, without having to click around and view multiple pages
– View fares from multiple airports in the same city at one time
– Change search dates on the flight results page without having to go back to the first page
– Easily print any page from our site in a printer-friendly format
– Add an A+ Rewards number to reservations during check-in
– Search the entire site to locate information

And best of all, our new website is still the place where you’ll always find our lowest fares and no booking fees! So check it out for yourself the next time you’re online.

In exciting offline news, we first mentioned our new international service to Cancun in last month’s letter. Well, now it’s official: AirTran Airways will begin low fare service to Cancun from Atlanta and Tampa on December 15th. Stay tuned in the coming months for more details about this exciting new low fare service destination.

We would also like to report our continued success in our partnership with XM Satellite Radio. Earlier this year, we became the first airline to carry the innovative radio service, offering service on many of our Boeing 717 and 737 jets. We are proud to report that at press time, we have now successfully installed XM Satellite Radio on more than half of our entire fleet. Happy listening, everyone.

AirTran Airways has all new planes, and America’s youngest all Boeing fleet is getting even larger. Watch out for the delivery of AirTran’s 100th aircraft this fall!

Thanks again for flying with us. We hope to see you again soon.

Cordially,

Joe Leonard
Chairman and CEO
