WELCOME JUNE 2005

Hello, and thanks for flying AirTran Airways.

We pride ourselves on continually finding ways to improve our service to make your flying experience as enjoyable as possible. And when these improvements get noticed, it goes a long way toward confirming our hopes of being the best low fare carrier in the business.

Recently, AirTran Airways was ranked #2 in the Airline Quality Rating study, an annual survey of airline service quality based on public data, out of a total of 16 participating airlines. What makes this feat even more impressive is that only three other airlines improved their mark in the study over the past year. AirTran Airways was also named #1 in baggage handling in 2004 by the U.S. Department of Transportation Air Travel, and Entrepreneur magazine named AirTran Airways Low- Fare Airline of the year for the 5th time since 1998.

And we’re still improving. First of all, we’ve expanded our route map. New service from Indianapolis and Charlotte began April 9th and May 4th, respectively, while new service from Richmond begins June 23rd. Even more new routes are currently in the works, so be on the look out for additional expansion in the near future.

I had the pleasure of attending the Indianapolis service kickoff, which was highlighted by an appearance by Peyton Manning. As part of our ongoing partnership with the Make-A-Wish foundation, AirTran Airways also invited a local child (and huge football fan), as well as his family, to join in the fun. Peyton opened the new Indianapolis gate by throwing a football through a six foot hoop held by Indianapolis Colts cheerleaders. AirTran Airways is proud to give back to the communities it serves by being a regular partner with Make-A-Wish, donating flights and granting wishes to children in need whenever possible. AirTran Airways also enables A+ Rewards customers to donate earned credits for use by the foundation.

We’ve recently been improving the inflight experience, too. Over 20 planes have our XM Satellite Radio service up and flying, with installation on additional planes occurring over the next few months. We’re also continuing to add new planes every month, so our fleet of jets is getting younger and younger. In addition, we’ve hired 400 new employees in the past year, in order to maintain our consistently high level of customer service.

We’ll continue to look for new ways to make your travel experience better. Now that the Summer travel season is upon us, remember that things tend to get busy around this time of year, so be sure to allow plenty of time at the airport. If you plan ahead, it’ll certainly make your travel experience easier and more enjoyable.

Thanks again for flying with us. We hope to see you again soon.

Cordially,

Joe Leonard
